Unfortunately we are not accepting new clients at The Castro Animal Hospital but our new Polk Street location is. Dr. Sidhu is an East-Bay native, hailing from the town of Danville. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and French at UC Irvine followed by a masters in Animal Biology at UC Davis.

She went on to attend veterinary school at UC Davis and is excited to be back in the Bay Area as part of the Castro Animal Hospital Team! In her spare time Dr. Sidhu loves being with her cat Waldo and her dogs Oscar and Zelda. She enjoys cooking elaborate meals, music, backpacking, and spending time with her loved ones near and far.
Services
Payment Options
Report
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill or provide installment plans. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. The Castro Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program.
Puppy Info
Report
Your puppy is not considered immune to these diseases until 7-10 days after the vaccine series is complete, so please do not take them to any public areas! The parvovirus vaccine is given as a 4-in-1 vaccination standing for Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus.

The first dose is administered as young as six weeks old and is then given in a 2 to 4-week interval until at least the age of 16 weeks old (totaling 3-4 times depending on when the 1st vaccine was given).A booster shot is given one year after the last interval dose, then again every three years. Canine distemper is an extremely contagious viral disease.
Kitten Info
Report
FeLV and FIV are two viral diseases that can be transmitted to kittens from their mothers. As a result, every new kitten (or adult cat) should be tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Both of these viruses are contagious and can be life threatening. FVRCP is a 3-way vaccine used to help protect for viral upper airway infections and gastrointestinal diseases.
