James T. Cummings, Sr. founded E.G. Cummings Funeral Home with the idea of giving comfort and personal services to families during a difficult and uncertain time. Today, James Jr., Jackie and family are proud to continue this tradition of delivering caring, personal and professional services at affordable prices.

He graduated from Alabama State Laboratory High School and later received his B.S. degree in education from Alabama State University. He worked as a jewelry salesmen with John Roberts and was a limo and hearse salesman with Jack Terrell, Montgomery, Al. Because of family connection with the funeral business, Tokey became interested in the funeral home industry.
