C S Kim Karate

The very first evidence of this ancient form of Korean martial art appeared during the Three Kingdom era (57 BC-935 AD) as Hwa Rang Do. Since then, 2,000 years have passed. The indigenous martial arts quietly developed through generations of the Korean people. During some eras it flourished and other times it diminished, according to the political, economic or cultural environment.

We are a traditional Tang Soo Do school certified by the International Tang Soo Do Federation (ITF). We believe that people of all ages, classes, and creeds can train in and gain benefits from Tang Soo Do. Practitioners gain mental, physical, and spiritual benefits from Tang Soo Do. Our mission is to create happy, healthy, and fit individuals of all ages by infusing modern training methods to an ancient traditional martial art.

In a world where families have less time for each other, here is one activity that brings them all together. Many parents who have enrolled their children in martial arts have joined in themselves. By learning our curriculum, students increase flexibility, improve hand-to-eye coordination, and gain strength in their upper and lower body.

All of the "Certified" Instructors have been tested and certified under Grand Master Chun Sik Kim Founder and President of the International Tang Soo Do Federation. Our instructors are certified bi-annually to teach the martial art of Tang Soo Do, which is recognized world-wide. Kerry Roudebush owner of C. S. Kim Karate has received his teaching certificate from Grand Master Chun Sik Kim under whom he has trained for over 30 years.

We are proud members of the International Tang Soo Do Federation, led by Grandmaster Chun Sik Kim. This school meets the high standards of martial arts instruction set by this organization. Do in Busan South Korea at the age of 8. After much determination and under Grandmaster Young Suk's tutelage, he earned his black belt two years later.
