Whittaker has been a general dentist for 38 years. He graduated in 1982 from the University of Washington. For 20 years, he was a part of a periodontal study club where learned to place implants, perform soft tissue grafting, perform osseous surgery, and other periodontal procedures. He has performed thousands of fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and surgeries.

Whitening restores natural tooth color, and bleaching whitens teeth beyond the natural color. We often use these terms interchangeably in dentistry. Both are achieved using peroxide to remove intrinsic strains, and will provide a lighter shade. We offer at-home whitening with our custom trays. Composite resin is the tooth-colored filling material most dentists use today.

Whittaker Family Dentistry has been serving Spokane since 1940. WP Whittaker started the practice in Downtown Spokane with the motto in mind to " Work Hard, and Be Honest" and that is exactly what he did for 37 years. His son and current owner, Earl Whittaker, has kept the same motto and lived into it for the past 38 years.

We look forward to meeting you. We will answer any questions you may have but we have answered some commonly asked questions on insurance and payments here. We accept nearly all private insurance plans. We also accept many forms of Medicare and Medicaid for children. If you have dental insurance, we will most likely accept it.
