About The Center

Wude, or martial ethics, is a code that wushu practitioners are expected to adopt, perfect, and exemplify in not only their training but their everyday lives. In order to ensure Luohan Wushu Kung Fu Center can provide its students with a safe, orderly, stress-free and none distracting learning environment, the rules are designed to inform all students of the procedures and the expectation to each person.
About Tai Chi
Report
Taichi, originated in China, belongs to the world. Taichi means supremacy, absoluteness, extremity and uniqueness. Taichi exercise, in Chinese is called Tai Ji Quan. Tai Ji Quan takes its name from the implication of superiority. Tai Ji Quan is a branch of Wushu studied for health and self-defense, practiced at a slow, smooth pace with controlled breathing.
Language
Report
In order to truly understand an art or discipline, we must understand the culture that gave rise to it. And in order to understand the culture, we must cultivate an understanding of the language. Below are common words and phrases used in our school.

It is of course impossible to boil down an entire language into a brief informational page, but this can be used as a starting point from which to explore the Chinese language and the words/phrases we use in our daily classes. Some quick notes about pronunciation: standard Chinese - also referred to as Mandrin, or Putonghu () - is a tonal language.
Styles
Report
Chinese martial arts are as old as the Chinese culture itself. Given the age of Chinese culture, there have evolved literally hundreds of different styles of Chinese martial arts. These styles are grouped typically by region of origination, religion/philosophy that founded or is associated to a style, and the focus/methodology (internal versus external).
