Carnesale Funeral Home
The Carnesale Funeral Home has been family owned and operated since 1956. We have been dedicated to serving all faiths through traditional and non traditional funerals, cremations and memorial services. We are available 24 hours a day as our family serves your family with compassionate and professional care.

Our website has been designed for you to find current and past obituaries, help you learn about our funeral home and staff, information on funerals and pre - planning funerals, features to allow you to leave condolences for a family, and local services on florists, churches, cemeteries, motels and restaurants that regularly host funeral luncheons.

About Us
Report
In 1956 the Carnesale Funeral Home was purchased from the Prasch Funeral Home located on Twelfth Street in Hammonton. The Prasch Funeral Home had been in existence for many years. In 1959 we moved to our current location at the corner of South Third and Peach Streets in Hammonton. This location allowed for a larger funeral home, and expanded parking.
Preneed Planning
Report
Pre - planning a funeral will ensure that the funeral reflects your wishes, and that there is money available to pay for your funeral. It allows you the time needed to make practical decisions. Your family will not be burdened with having to make important decisions about your wishes or having the financial burden at a very stressful time.
Funeral Planning
Report
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
Understanding Bereavement
Report
Over the years, there have been numerous attempts to explain it. Perhaps the most influential and well-known theory has been that of Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, who in her 1969 book "On Death and Dying" focused on an emotional transition through five stages, beginning with denial and progressing through anger, bargaining and depression before arriving at acceptance.

These articles will help you understand something about the grief and how we can help ourselves and others through the difficult process. These articles were written by Dr Bill Webster, our Director of Grief Education, and are part of a comprehensive library available on our Grief Journey web portal.
