Use to be the best spot in the heart of SF. Good prices and bar and restaurant attached. This place is an overnighter, if you plan to have an extended stay I suggest you stay at the sister property called Beresford Arms Hotel about 2 blocks from here. Can't wait for it to open again!

Great location, great staff, breakfast was good. The room was in great condition for the age. The 2 star ratings you can ignore. This was much better than 2. Maybe not 5, but way better than 2...

Great location. Rooms are typical for older San Francisco, small. Could be updated but $280 for three nights, taxes included, cannot be beat. Rooms are clean. Attached restaurant, White horse Tavern, is great. Food is excellent and drinks are cheap. Will return.

It is situated on the Sutter street. It has all the old world charm on it. The classy red carpet staircase, the legendary white horse bar attached to it and the great hospitality. The place continues to be one of my best stays in the San Francisco.
