TaeKwonDo is a uniquely Korean martial art, and is the most-practiced martial art in the world, with an estimated 70 million people in over 150 countries now practicing TaeKwonDo.
As with other martial arts, there are many styles of TaeKwonDo; the style practiced by Majest is principally World Taekwondo Federation style (the same style that is competed in the Olympics) with older, more traditional elements incorporated into our Majest curriculum as well.When our Majest students achieve Black Belt, they are awarded "dan certificates" from Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, located in Seoul, South Korea.

At Majest, we teach a fully modern TaeKwonDo curriculum, augmented with traditional TaeKwonDo techniques and training. During our TaeKwonDo classes, we teach both the English and Korean names for most of the TaeKwonDo techniques that we teach. Why? The best TaeKwonDo schools around the world practice this same habit, so that when students visit other countries they can still practice TaeKwonDo and understand the instructions.
