A 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts, Wright raced on the Gopher Track and Cross County teams. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, graduating cum laude in 1992. After admission to the bar, Wright began practicing law in Merrill in a variety of firms.
