One of the most effective ways to get a healthy, green lawn is to aerate it thoroughly in the Fall. The point of aeration is to make sure the roots of the grass are getting enough nutrients, water and air, and to do it, we use professional equipment to plug rows and rows of small holes into the soil.
Over-Seeding

If your goal is to get grass that's as lush, green and healthy as possible, over-seeding in the late summer / early Fall is a must. This process is not as quick and simple as just spreading grass seed on your current lawn. Proper seed-to-soil contact is critical in getting proper germination. We use a machine called a verticutter, which puts shallow slits in the soil, which the seeds fall into.

First of all, it's important to note that by far, the best time of the year to seed is late August through early October. This is a narrow window so the goal is get this done correctly the first time.
