Therapeutic Massage Services in Los Olivos, CA
I began my journey in massage therapy in 2008 at Santa Barbara Bodyworks, where I discovered a profound passion for this work. My practice is integrative and intuitive, drawing from therapeutic Swedish, Thai, cross-link adhesion release, trigger point, acupressure, and meridian tracing techniques. I approach each session with a deep commitment to helping clients achieve physical and emotional well-being through personalized, hands-on care.My intuitive style allows my hands to naturally focus on areas needing attention, often addressing issues neither client nor practitioner initially recognized. I maintain a professional, therapeutic environment and offer sliding-scale pricing to ensure accessibility for all bodies. My dedication to continuous growth in modalities ensures clients receive comprehensive, effective treatments tailored to their unique needs.

Swedish Massage
Gentle, flowing Swedish massage designed for deep relaxation and stress relief. Combines long strokes, kneading, and circular movements to improve circulation while allowing the body to enter a healing state. Ideal for general wellness maintenance and first-time clients seeking therapeutic relaxation without intense pressure.
Deep Tissue Therapy
Slow, firm pressure techniques addressing chronic muscle tension and specific pain points. Utilizes trigger point therapy and cross-fiber friction to break up adhesions and realign tissue. Recommended for 75-90 minute sessions to effectively treat persistent musculoskeletal issues and postural imbalances through focused, therapeutic work.
Barefoot Bodywork
Unique deep pressure technique using therapist's body weight for maximum muscle release. Applies controlled pressure through feet and elbows to access hard-to-reach areas, particularly effective for lower back and leg tension. Enhances athletic performance by releasing deep-seated knots and improving range of motion through weight-based manipulation.
In-Home Sessions
Full-service massage treatments delivered at client's location with portable equipment. Includes same therapeutic techniques as studio sessions with added convenience. Offers discounted multi-session packages for home visits, ideal for clients with mobility challenges or busy schedules requiring personalized service delivery.
Therapeutic Massage
Customized treatment combining multiple modalities including acupressure, meridian tracing, and Thai stretching. Adaptable pressure levels from light to firm address both relaxation and rehabilitation needs. Report
I always enjoy my sessions with Shea! Of all her styles of bodywork that I have tried, my favorite is when she uses her feet! It sounds weird, I know, but she can really stomp on my glutes and hamstrings with the pressure I like. Her presence is super calm and relaxing from the moment she greets me until I float off of the mat and out the door. I first started getting massages from Shea for help with some low back pain that was keeping me awake at night. One session on the mat and I felt like new. Thanks so much for being such an amazing massage therapist!
