The patient will fill out the necessary paperwork and the doctor will do a consultation, comprehensive health history and an examination. If appropriate, treatment may begin on the first visit. X-rays may or may not be required to start treatment depending on the history and examination findings. During the consultation, history and exam, the doctor will determine if a referral for other health care services is needed.
