The Sample Rack opened in 2007 as a unique concept with a few wedding gown samples and word of mouth advertising. The gown appointments were on the 3rd floor of La Fourno Trattoria at 636 South Street. Jim Whittaker co-owns the restaurant and supplied the idea, the gowns and the space. For a few years The Sample Rack was Philadelphia's best kept wedding industry secret.
