He started out as a laborer and eventually moved to an equipment operator, a project superintendent and in April of 1996, he became part owner along with his father, Bud Kinning. Mark bought in again in November of 1998 and has been involved in the management of the business ever since. Ryan started working summers for Penro in 1996 and joined Penro full time in 1998.

After purchasing half of the business in 2000 he moved into a superintendent role and led a crew in the field for ten years. Since then Ryan's primary responsibility has been estimating and he also helps out with project management. Ryan was very involved in the formation of NUCA of Nebraska and served as its second President.
Services
Penro Construction specializes in the construction of municipal infrastructure. Penro installs utility mains such as water, sewer, and storm sewer. Along with the construction of the mains, Penro also builds structures and plants associated with the pipelines, including lift stations, booster stations, well houses, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and lagoons.

The South Highway 81 Sanitary Sewer and Lift Station project included 13,250' of 10 sanitary sewer, 2100' of sanitary sewer services, sewer lift station, 4000' of sewer force main, and 7300 SY of paving to provide sanitary sewer service to the businesses and homes along Highway 81 south of the Elkhorn River in Norfolk, NE.
