San Diego Weddings by Gina was established in 2007 by Gina Hundley. She fell in love with the "behind the scenes" magic of weddings and has since pursued her passion and talent in creating every couple's wedding vision as their wedding planner. We used Gina for our August wedding at La Valencia in La Jolla. She did an amazing job and was BY MY SIDE from day 1 until even after the wedding. She was extremely quick to answer e-mails with any questions I had and kept me apprised of everything going on. She was able to find us some amazing vendors that were within our budget but still exactly what we we were looking for. Gina was awesome! I, of course, had many questions throughout the wedding planning process and she would always respond to either my text or email almost immediately, and if she didn’t have the answer right then she would always let me know she was checking on it. She had wonderful recommendations for vendors, i.e. band, caterer, florist, and would coordinate communication with them all. Gina is everything! Planning a wedding, much less in the middle of a global pandemic, is overwhelming! However, Gina made sure that I did not need to worry. She made sure I had all of my T's crossed, and I's dotted. She took over the communications for me in the last few weeks before the wedding with my vendors, which made for a very carefree day. Gina was an amazing Day of Event Coordinator. She communicated timelines and details with the other vendors, and on the day of the wedding she handled EVERYTHING. She set-up and took down decorations, communicated with the DJ and kept the timing on track and made sure I didn't have to do anything! Highly recommend.

We had given Gena a retainer for our wedding day of April 11, 2020 August 2019, we met in January 2020 for about an hour to go over our timeline. The next time we were going to see each other was the day of the rehearsal in order for me to hand her over all of our details for the day, party favors, name cards, seating charts, etc. we hired her for her day of coordination services only. Our wedding was amazing and everything went smoothly thanks to Gina. I had planned much of the wedding on my own and was looking for a day of coordinator. When I met Gina I was sorry that I did not book her when I first started planning because I think It would have made the planning experience less stressful and more enjoyable. We used Gina as out day-of planner for our wedding this summer. She's AMAZING! Gina was everything I could have asked for in a wedding planner. She has great suggestions and ideas but doesn't push them on you. She listens and understands your vision. And probably most importantly, she is SO responsive. She even helped me wrangle other vendors who wouldn't respond in a timely fashion.
