For Gardens Sake
For Garden's Sake has been North Carolina's source for locally grown plants and expert knowledge since 1999. FGS was originally started by Chapel Hill resident JoAnn Davis. It is now owned and operated by Scott and Marsha Pearce who have managed the day to day operations since 2010. FGS is situated on a beautiful 20-acre site right on the Durham/ Chatham county line.

Our nursery boasts 3 ponds brimming ducks, goats for our guests to feed, and even a solar chicken coop. We offer everything you need to get your landscape done right. We are truly a one stop for plants, trees, landscape design, and lawn maintenance services. So whether you're looking to plant a single tree or you need help designing and landscaping a commercial office, the professionals at FGS can get you on your way.

Warranty Info
Report
In our warranty, FGS defines a woody plant that is either a shrub or tree having multiple permanent stems branching from or near the ground and/or trunk. Woody plants may be deciduous, meaning they shed their leaves for a season, or an evergreen, meaning they keep their leaves and/or canopy throughout all four seasons.
Remember that plants are living and require special care. Once we install your landscape or you take a plant home from our garden center, you have the responsibility for the continued health and vigor of the plantings. The following general instructions will help you enjoy and maintain your investment.
