Bateman Funeral Home can trace it's roots back to 12/24/1896 when W.A. Fash bought property to start a funeral home in Toledo, Oregon on Hill street. E.F. Gaar became a business partner with Mr. Fash in September of 1897. The Bateman family continued to reside on the coast in Lincoln County for many years thereafter.

Brian is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Oregon and Washington, a certified cremationist as well as a certified celebrant.

It was founded in 1914 by the Bateman family who owned and operated it until brothers Gene and Dene Bateman semi-retired in 1999. Is Bateman Funeral Home and Pacific View Memorial Chapel & Gardens a private or public company?. Honestly, we don't know what every other funeral home or crematory charges.

Severing all Oregon coastal and surrounding communities, Bateman Funeral Home was founded in 1914 by the Bateman family, and some of the Bateman family members continue to reside in Lincoln County.

Bateman Funeral Home feels that it is extremely important to be an active and responsible member of our community. Brian and Dave continue the Bateman family legacy of giving back to the community as an over 50-year member of the Newport Chamber of Commerce as well as a lifetime Booster for Newport High School.
