Growing Place Family Preschool (GPFP) is a non-profit preschool based in San Francisco, California and serves families with children two to five years of age. Founded in 2015 by a group of early childhood educators and parents of young children, GPFP is a child-centered, Reggio-Emilia-inspired, play-based, preschool committed to providing a nurturing environment to families and teachers.

Our philosophy and curriculum are based on our understanding of the ways in which young children learn. We are aware that each child develops individually at his own pace. We are committed to respecting, encouraging, and supporting each child in the process of growing socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.
Curriculum

Although our program is informal and flexible, the environment, activities, and routines are the result of careful planning based on knowledge of each child's growth and development. We know that young children view the world concretely and that learning has to be interactive and involve the whole child.

Thank your for your interest in Growing Place Family Preschool. Please take a moment to read our Philosophy and Curriculum pages. We believe that it is the family, not just the child, that is enrolled in the school. After your tour you will be given an application. The families of children between the ages of 2 and 5 are eligible to apply to our program.
Rummage Sale

Our 5th annual Rummage Sale fundraiser will once again feature all things baby and children. Everything else is priced to sell. Enter our raffle for a chance to win 3 Disneyland Tickets! Raffle tickets are $5 each and you may enter as many times as you like. Tickets must be purchased at the event, but the winner does not need to be onsite for the drawing.
Spring Carnival

Our 5th annual Spring Carnival will feature live music, a bounce house, carnival games with prizes, mask making for the kids and a raffle for the adults. Purchase tickets online.
