PLAY Preschool is a developmentally based community driven preschool located in the center of Silver Lake 1 block north of Rowena Blvd on Glendale Blvd and Waverly Dr. PLAY is the long time realization of more than 50 years of combined teaching experience from a mother-son duo. PLAY excels in teaching children about the wonders found in and out of the classroom.
We believe that children thrive best when in a program that allows them to express who they are both in and out of the classroom. Children are presented with materials in the classroom that allows them to challenge themselves at their own individual pace. Outside, the children are able to explore the space around them in an environment that is safe and exciting.

The program practices at PLAY Preschool are based on our beliefs about how children learn and deserve to be treated. The importance of families is paramount to a successful school environment, as well as the role of teachers in making it all happen. As a developmentally based preschool, PLAY Preschool provides children with a nurturing environment that supports the developing child, emphasizes positive self-esteem and teaches respect for themselves and each individual. Our program offers children the opportunity for imaginative play, individual choice as well as group activities designed to help children develop feelings of competency and independence in a whole child focused environment.

PLAY is looking for full and part time ECE Teachers. We are currently seeking qualified Preschool Teachers for our Los Feliz/ Silver Lake location. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 ECE units. AA or BA degrees strongly desired. 2 years experience working with children required if no degree. CPR certification required.

In these classrooms our youngest children have their own space where they may explore in a space that is both warm, safe and inviting. Here parents and caregivers work together to create an environment that works best for your individual child. Each child is assigned to a primary caregiver who will update parents with real time activities, pictures, videos and 2 way messages allowing parents to feel engaged and informed.

PLAY Preschool offers a variety of choices to match the needs of the community. We offer 2, 3 & 5 half day and full day programs. These programs are designed for parents who are looking to both introduce their children to a more academic and social environment or give their child an edge when preparing to enroll for elementary school.
