Resthaven was established in 1961 as the first multi-faith, non-sectarian cemetery serving Frederick and surrounding counties. At that time, Resthaven encompassed a little more than 25 acres. The cemetery only had a gravel road with less than two dozen burials. In the 1970's and 80's we were exclusive in addressing the specific needs of local veterans, as well as families seeking cremation*.

Choose from a variety of tree-shaded, landscaped garden vistas or beautiful garden sites near unique statuary or memorial features. We also offer lawn crypts-affordable, pre-installed grass topped crypts-which has an integrated drainage system and allows for a 'double-depth' configuration.
